Born in Tokyo, Japan, spent childhood in the U.S then grew up in Japan until college. Worked in Tokyo for a couple of years, and then came over to the U.S. for graduate studies at Stanford University. Have lived and worked in the U.S. ever since. Work experience includes 2 consultig firms, 2 start-ups and 1 bank. Now working for a proteomics start-up in the San Francisco Bay Area.
